We are seeking an uncommon professional to join our team as a Test Consultant

This individual is responsible for the peer leadership of assigned test execution projects which may include multiple testing team members from both CMG and testing vendor partners. They will have overall responsibility for developing overall plans assign efforts and for executing and reporting against those plans. They will apply existing testing standards and tools for development, execution, and documentation of tests and testing results and have input on changes to those standards as they evolve.

This person will operate under limited supervision for the performance of their assigned duties. This person is responsible for communicating within the testing team, with assigned development team and other relevant testing stakeholders. They will lead various cross-functional teams/meetings as needed to perform their assigned tasks with limit oversight from testing portfolio managers. This position participates in budget and planning responsibilities for their assigned test execution projects.

Job Responsibilities

Test Execution Peer Leadership 45-55%

1) Develop test plans and estimates for assigned efforts

2) Provide peer guidance on test planning, analysis, execution and reporting for assigned testing teams and self

3) Develop and maintain strong working relationships with development and business teams in assigned areas.

4) Accountable for oversight and reporting of team’s test execution in assign areas.

5) Ensures adherence to Testing Standards and Framework

6) Develop and maintain a strong teamwork environment

7) Oversee execution by vendor partners to ensure quality outcomes

Testing Execution Leadership 30-40%

1) Analyze requirements for testability and functional gaps.

2) Using established standards and tools, develop testing documentation to be used by themselves and others for the creation and execution of test scenarios and cases.

3) Review team testing documentation

4) Execute test cases and report results according to established test plans and using established test data. Lead in responding to issues with test plans, cases and data.

5) Document and report on testing activities using established tools and practices.

6) Log defects and track to closure, working with development teams to establish defect validity, cause and retesting as required.

7) Perform AdHoc testing as appropriate

8) Handle testing issue escalation in a timely fashion

9) Demonstrate mastery in at least one testing discipline (Functional, Performance, Automation, etc).

Internal Partnerships: 10-20%

1) Mastery of business needs and processes for area of responsibility. Work with testing team members, development team and business partners to maintain in-depth knowledge of business functions supported by assigned systems.

2) Advocate for CMG software development life cycle and how the quality life cycle is integrated with it. Review and provide input to changes to the testing framework.

3) Apply advanced effective communication practices with-in and across teams

Job Requirements

1) College degree in Computer Science or related field or equivalent trade-off in related professional work experience.

2) 5-7 years of testing and quality assurance experience

3) 2-3 years of peer leadership experience in an extended team environment.

4) Demonstrated communication, presentation, and teamwork skills.
