We are seeking an uncommon professional to join our team as a Senior IT Manager, Salesforce and SaaS Applications.

This position is responsible for the delivery of projects and ongoing application, technology and process support for a SaaS solutions provided through Consumer and Sales IT. The position is responsible for multiple operations, functions, technologies, processes and/or projects. This person will direct the activities of professional staff in the research, development, implementation, support and education of new methods and technologies on behalf of Consumer and Sales.

This person will operate largely independently in meeting their defined objectives and goals. This person is responsible for communicating all team activities, project status and operational performance metrics for their area of responsibility. This person will develop & manage budgets, plans, and resources to provide applications/systems/technologies/services/ education for CUNA Mutual employees, customers and in some cases affiliated companies.

Job Responsibilities:

Project & System Executions: 30-40%

1.Lead SaaS Efforts for Consumer and Sales; be a strategic partner working with business executives to leverage SaaS solutions to drive results.

2. Oversee one or many project teams as needed to support Business Area or Company projects and requests. Ensure that the technical and functional results are delivered as agreed upon with the project sponsors. Responsible for coordinating with staff across the IT organization to ensure successful delivery of project activity.

3. Accountable for overseeing successful completion of all non-project work activities (regulatory changes, enhancements, break/fix, maintenance, etc.) as required to support SLA s and functional needs of one or many Business Areas or the Company. Develop and manage to operational budgets and plans.

4. Develop and maintain program, project and operational reporting to demonstrate quality execution of project commitments (budget, benefits, etc.) and adherence to service level commitments.

5. Manage relationships with external service providers as part of project execution and application support/hosting. Ensure all activity is delivered in compliance with normal policies, procedures, technology standards, security requirements, etc. of CMG and the IT department.

Application, Data & Technical Strategy: 10-15%

1. Complete medium-term planning (monthly, quarterly, annually) for projects, technologies, processes staffing, etc. within area of responsibility.

2. Work with current and potential vendors to understand product/portfolio roadmaps and potential impacts to our business.

Business Leadership & Customer Relationship: 20-30%

1. Understand business needs and processes for areas of responsibility. Proactively work with Business Leaders, understand their business plans to help craft their plans into projects. Ensure the application footprint/infrastructure will support the current and planned needs of the Business Areas.

2. Monitor customer satisfaction with project execution, operational support. Identify opportunities and implement changes to drive improvement in service.

People Leadership: 20-30%

1. Responsible for the consistent delivery of HR processes: recruiting, hiring, training, career development, performance management, etc. Evaluate managers and team members in both technical duties and professional aspects of their performance.

2. Define application development/infrastructure team structure and resource levels. Allocate resources and responsibilities across the application team to meet required Consumer and Sales results.

3. Communicate and reinforce CMG/IT/application/infrastructure team goals, policies and procedures to staff members.

4. Coach/mentor team members as necessary. Align team members in roles to best take advantage of their strengths and to grow/diversify their skill sets.

Job Requirements:

1. College degree in Computer Science or related field or equivalent trade-off in related professional work experience. 10+ years’ experience in the technology industry. 5-7 years’ experience managing staff, including experience managing managers.

2. Technology vendor selection and management experience, outsourcing, SaaS.

3. Experience with sales and service technology enablement in a business to consumer and business to business environment.

4. Management of annual budgets in excess of $2million.

5. Portfolio management, including demonstrated ability to manage capabilities from initial development through investment, maintenance and disposition. Demonstrated experience in driving build vs. buy decisions involving technology.

6. Experience with project management methodologies, SDLC and software lifecycle management.

7. Excellent leadership, communication and presentations skills. Ability to interface with business executives.

Desired experience:

1. Experience with multi-channel marketing, direct marketing, and customer service business models.

2. Experience managing a Salesforce implementation with multiple instances across the sales and service clouds.

3. Knowledge of insurance (life and property/casualty) and/or credit union business models and concepts.

4. Experience with KANA, ExactTarget, Brainshark, Apttus and SAVO solutions.
